Welcome to our parishes of Saint Patrick’s and Saint Luke’s here in the heart of Pine County, Minnesota. Whether you are visiting in person or virtually, we are happy to have you. Whether you are one of the Lord’s intentional disciples or whether you are seeking to know more about your faith or whether you are just curious about Catholics and what we believe, we are happy to have you.
We believe that Jesus Christ was sent to proclaim to us the good news of the Kingdom of God (Lk 4:43). This good news inspired Saint Paul to cry out, “Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I say rejoice (Phil 4:14).” This same good news also inspired the Apostles to go from Judea to Samaria and to the ends of the earth to tell whoever would listen to them about it.
So what, you might ask, is so “good” about this “good news”? Here is the answer: God loves you! Even more, God wants everyone who loves Him to live with Him. It was Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of God, who first taught these things to His disciples and then, through His holy Catholic Church, to us.
